Château La Coste Unveils NOOH: A New Era in Non-Alcoholic Wine

By Sophia Lowe

Château La Coste, the renowned Provencal estate with a winemaking heritage dating back to 1682, is pioneering a new frontier with the introduction of NOOH, a brand dedicated to providing a 100% wine experience with 0% alcohol. This innovative offering from the iconic estate, celebrated for its fusion of art and viticulture, presents an enticing alternative for those who wish to enjoy the essence of wine without the alcohol.

Château La Coste's vineyard, famed for its spirit of generosity and sharing, now invites wine enthusiasts to indulge in their new non-alcoholic creations. NOOH, pronounced [Nou], embodies a community of flexidrinkers—individuals who prefer to avoid alcohol but still desire the enjoyment of wine. The brand introduces two varieties: a sparkling rosé and a still rosé. These wines, derived from the esteemed Rosé d’une Nuit organic cuvée, offer pure delight with minimal sugar content. The alcohol is meticulously removed to preserve the wine's natural aromas and flavors.

The creation of NOOH was inspired by visitor demand at the estate. Château La Coste dedicated three years to research and development to achieve the perfect balance of quality. They selected vacuum distillation at low temperatures (35-40°C), a method less industrial than reverse osmosis, to retain the wine's natural essence. The result is a sparkling rosé and a still rosé, with more innovations on the horizon.

Marguerite Cheze, Château La Coste’s brand ambassador in California, shares the enthusiastic reception in Los Angeles: "My experience in the wine world has always been driven by exploration and innovation. Introducing NOOH, a non-alcoholic option that mirrors the sophistication and pleasure of wine, presented an exciting new challenge. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting a market demand for a non-alcoholic alternative that maintains a sense of celebration."

Marguerite highlights California's growing interest in mindful drinking: "The trend towards healthier alternatives is evident here, and NOOH perfectly aligns with this lifestyle." She adds, "Consumers are excited to see a non-alcoholic product that genuinely feels and tastes like wine."

This bold step by Château La Coste marks a significant milestone in the realm of non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring inclusivity and enjoyment for all.
