Sherri Rosenblum has an eye for design. Her regal home, built in 1960, features ornate antiques and one-of-a-kind decor by vintage designers – many retired or out of business – all across Los Angeles through the years. The home is adorned with Oriental treasures collected on her travels from around the world. For Sheri, her heart and soul is her large family: she’s a mother of five, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of five children.

“Everything in my home means something to me. Many items from Vietnam, India, and the Buddha … if you want to be lucky, you can rub his tummy,” says Sheri, reflecting on the eclectic nature of her personal treasures.

“Many of my items are over a hundred years old, especially the African elephant ivory. I forgot what country I bought them from, but they made me leave them behind until I left the country and showed them the relevant CITES permit, which guarantees the age and origin of the ivory,” notes Sheri.

The breakfast room ensemble comfortably seats 8 and encompasses 20th-century French metal armchairs, a cocktail table by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, curtains of vintage Fortuny fabric, a green resin chair by Studio X for Tienda X, and a painting by Alfred Henry Maurer above the fireplace.
