A Passion For Fashion with The Ghazaryan Family

Fashion designer Anahit Ghazaryan elevates couture design into an art form, infusing her family's support and community spirit into every creation with passion, innovation, and unmatched craftsmanship.

"My goal is not just to sell clothes, but to empower people to feel confident and energized by the look they wear," shares Anahit Ghazaryan, the visionary founder of ANAHIT Fashiondrug House in Beverly Hills. Located in the prestigious Golden Triangle, her boutique transcends mere clothing, becoming an art form infused with passion and dedication.

As I observed the scene during our cover photoshoot, it was evident that Anahit’s designs were a true family affair. Anahit, her husband Arthur, and their daughter Aurora all wore her creations. Anahit and Aurora donned pieces from her summer collection, exuding elegance and sophistication. Arthur looked impeccably stylish in a custom blazer, a nod to the blend of style and comfort for which Anahit’s designs are well known.

Anahit's first love for fashion began in Yerevan, Armenia. "Discovering my passion for creativity early on — from dressing paper dolls to eventually designing bespoke evening gowns — set the foundation for my career.” Fashion, for Anahit, is more than a profession; it’s a way to tell stories through clothing. "Each dress I design is like a narrative, a labor of love that I craft to make women feel confident, beautiful, and regal."

Before moving to the United States, Anahit started designing one of her first collections, “FD Sporty,” in Armenia. "The collection was inspired by my own personal style, which is a combination of sporty and chic elements. I wanted to create pieces that were both comfortable and stylish, and that could be worn for a variety of occasions". This blend of practicality and elegance became a hallmark of her brand.

Her move to the US was catalyzed by an innovative brooch design. "I used a magnetized attachment for the brooches to avoid ruining clothing. For this, I was awarded the O-1 Extraordinary Visa," she recalls. She set her sights on Beverly Hills next. "Beverly Hills' reputation as a hub for fashion and luxury drew me in." Today, Anahit designs custom dresses for red-carpet events and celebrities.

"Opening a new location in the renowned Golden Triangle was challenging," she admits. "But the difficulties I faced only made my achievements even more rewarding." ANAHIT Fashiondrug is now celebrated for its red-carpet looks, worn by celebrities and influencers. Her portfolio includes over 2,000 exquisite brooches and 40 unique clothing collections showcased in more than 25 prestigious exhibitions worldwide.

Anahit is deeply rooted in the Beverly Hills community, living with her husband Arthur and their three children — Anri, Mark, and Aurora. holds a special place in my heart," she says. "My entire life is rooted in this vibrant community. It's a place where I feel fulfilled and very happy."

Anahit’s mission extends beyond creating beautiful garments. "Seeing a woman wear a dress I've designed and witnessing her transformation — how she carries herself with more confidence and grace — continues to fuel my passion. Fashion, to me, is an empowerment tool and an expression of art, which I strive to capture in every piece I create."

Her supportive family is key to her success. "My husband, Arthur, and I share a wonderful life together, blending our different personalities to keep things interesting and full of discovery. We've been together for 17 years, sharing the joy of raising our three children. This dynamic family life and our love for travel greatly influence my work. Traveling exposes us to new inspirations and becomes a collaborative family project where even our kids contribute ideas for destinations and restaurants."

ANAHIT Fashiondrug is a compelling chronicle of her years in fashion, having worked with renowned brands like Ermenegildo Zegna, Emporio Armani, Burberry, and Ralph Lauren. "Every thread we weave into our designs, every gem we encrust on our brooches, contributes to creating an experience beyond the surface," Anahit shares. Her fashion house is not just a business; it’s a community hub where she regularly hosts events, drawing in fashion enthusiasts and influencers alike.

Participating in prestigious fashion events worldwide has been incredible for Anahit. "What inspires me most is the ability to blend modern aesthetics with cultural elements, making each piece unique. My goal is to create beautiful dresses and cross nationalities and borders through fashion, unifying various elements of beauty and design."

Literary influences such as Honoré de Balzac’s The Shagreen Skin and Jack London’s Martin Eden have been pivotal for her. "These works delve deeply into the human experience, ambition, and the transformative power of dreams — concepts that resonate profoundly with my approach to fashion and design."

Music and travel further enrich her creative process. "Smooth jazz and classical compositions offer a perfect backdrop, allowing me to focus and draw inspiration. Traveling broadens my horizons, continually introducing new perspectives, textures, and colors that I infuse into my designs," she says. She admires icons like Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy. "Their collaboration exemplifies a timeless elegance and sophistication that I strive to embody in my creations."

Anahit’s vision extends beyond fashion. "I believe that fashion is an art form that has the power to inspire, uplift, and transform. As I continue on this path, I remain committed to creating pieces that are not only visually unique but also rich in meaning and personal significance," she says. Looking ahead, Anahit is excited about the future. "I am excited to continue exploring new themes, materials, and inspirations from around the world. Each new design and each fashion show is another chapter, and I can’t wait for what’s next," she shares.
